My Prayer is Worth It

That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. Mark 11:24

Your private prayer time is all about you processing  your thoughts, feelings & ideas with God. It’s you literally opening up your heart & mind. God is looking for us as his people, to tell him all the little intricate details of our heart. The scripture above tells us that as we embrace (take on) this life that God has given us, God wants us to audible speak out our heart. Every thought, every feeling/emotion, every scared moment, and every joyful event… He wants to hear it all. My Prayer is Worth it and it deeply matters to God.

I think this is what made David so special to God… and even for God to say he has my heart. David spent countless hours praying and processing with God. Whether he had just sinned or was living righteously… he showed God his heart. Prayer (coupled with Worship) is the most important thing believers can do. It is our greatest tool and ultimately, the lifestyle we will live in God’s Kingdom. God is searching for people who will wholeheartedly spend time with him. People who are not looking for rewards or gifts… just wanting to spend quality time with Daddy!  One of my favorite scriptures in the Bible is Psalms 37:4

Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

I have come to notice that if we want the desires of our heart, our delight (joy, time and pleasure) better be in the Lord and not things/people. I remember speaking awhile back and saying “if we seek & do God’s will, He’ll give us the desires of our hearts – because our desires will become His desires.” God loves to hear our voice and thoughts. He enjoys the time we spend with him and to put it simply… Our Prayer Matters! Pray without ceasing and enjoy (take delight in) your time with the One (God) who is worth it.
